Tidal Body Oil

Tidal is a topical oil to support and honour the menstrual cycle continuum, handcrafted and formulated using herbal extracted oils of:

• Mugwort - Ruled by Artemis, the Goddess of the moon, Mugwort has a strong affinity for the natural rhythms of women that can stimulate the uterus and encourage menstruation.

• Rosemary - Uplifting to mood and spirit, rosemary stimulates blood flow, promoting relaxation and the easing of aches and pain.

• Hops - A flowering vine of deep relaxation in both body and mind, hops offers an invitation to make rest a priority. Included in this formula to aid in relieving cramps, melt tension held in the body where applied, and ally to individuals who find it hard to stop “doing”.

• Ginger - Menstrual pain and cramping can be the result of the uterus working hard to expel stagnant blood. As a circulatory stimulant, Ginger can be called to help move the blood, bring warmth, and increase the efficiency of the constituents in the other herbs in this formula by helping move them deeper into the tissues of the body.

• Clary sage - A herb that shines when oestrogen is low, bringing warmth and a harmonising energy.

• Lavender - Lavender is a renown herb for stress, tension, headaches and cramps. Many of lavender’s characteristics make it unique, and in the context of this formula, it’s affinity with women’s spirit is one of them. Simultaneously delicate and powerful, calming and strengthening. Characterised by Rosemary Gladstar as a crone among herbs - wise, ancient and powerful.

• Rose - A soothing energy honouring the thread that connects us, and can help keep the heart open and true in times where our emotional state can be heavily influenced by fluctuating hormones.

• Calendula - gently encourages the movement of the waters of the body. Supports menstrual flow through its antispasmodic and lymphatic qualities.

Dried Organic Artemisia Vulgaris, Humulus lupulus, Salvia sclarea, Lavandula angustifolia, Zinziber officinalis, Rosarinus offinicalis, Rosa centifolia, Calendula officinalis, Organic Australian Olive Oil, trace amounts vodka.

Use

Gently massage directly onto the womb space, hips, lower back and any area you wish to encourage warmth, stimulate blood flow, ease muscle tension, and bring loving awareness. Tidal oil can also be added to the bath and used in a compress. Apply liberally as desired at any stage in your cycle that you feel these plants may be supportive.
